Within the European Union, the SAFE initiative has established a lending facility of up to EUR 150 billion to support joint procurement and strengthen defense industrial production capacity, while the EDIP initiative is also being advanced to expand production capacity and ensure stable supply within the defense sector. Under these frameworks, collaboration with Europe\u2019s industrial base and local partners is becoming increasingly important.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n At the same time, in order to expand defense unmanned aircraft and related systems internationally, it is essential to establish an operational structure that takes into account the regulatory frameworks and security requirements of each country and region. The international transfer of advanced defense equipment is subject to review and coordination processes under each country\u2019s export control regime, and in some cases it can take considerable time before such systems are put into actual operation. Against this backdrop, Terra Drone determined that, in addition to a direct supply model from Japan, it was necessary to establish a business base within Europe, closer to areas of demand, in order to create an integrated structure capable of handling business development, supply, maintenance and operational support, and logistics management for defense unmanned assets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Republic of Estonia is geographically and strategically well positioned from the standpoint of defense and technology collaboration in Europe.
