Reason for the Acquisition
Unifly develops and provides a platform that supports the safe and efficient operation of drones in the field of UAS Traffic Management (UTM).
In order to obtain flight authorization for drones, operators are required to conduct a risk assessment based on a framework known as SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment). SORA has been adopted in over 40 countries worldwide, including EU member states, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates. For high-risk operations such as Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flights or flights over densely populated areas, applications often need to follow SORA or similar operational risk assessment frameworks. However, these procedures are complex, manual, and require specialized knowledge.
In response to this market background, Unifly aims to build an integrated platform that supports the entire process, from risk assessment to flight management, by making EuroUSC Italia its subsidiary. Moving forward, Unifly plans to develop new services in the fields of risk assessment and UTM, while also exploring expansion into other regions.
