Tokyo, October 24, 2025 – Terra Drone Corporation, a leading drone and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) technology company headquartered in Japan, is pleased to announce that its group company and a global leader in UAS Traffic Management (UTM) solutions, Unifly, has successfully completed the three-year BURDI Project. This initiative aimed to enable the safe and efficient integration of drones and manned aircraft within shared airspace, and its outcomes were presented at an international conference held in Belgium.
The project, conducted as a joint European initiative across Belgium and the Netherlands, included demonstration flights for medical drone delivery (Note 1) as well as the design and validation of operational models to support the coexistence of manned and unmanned aircrafts. Building upon these results, the project is expected to advance towards large-scale implementation through collaboration with national authorities and industry partners.
