Tokyo, December 4, 2025 – Terra Drone Corporation, a leading drone and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) technology company headquartered in Japan, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a distribution agreement for “Terra Xross 1” with S&T NDT S.r.l. (hereinafter referred to as “S&T”), a leading distributor of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment and quality control instruments and solutions in Italy. Through this strategic partnership, Terra Drone will introduce its in-house developed products to the Italian market for the first time and expand the distribution of “Terra Xross 1”.
Drone inspections not only enhance worker safety by keeping them out of hazardous environments but also significantly improve efficiency and cost performance of traditional inspection methods. Terra Drone’s “Terra Xross 1” has achieved stable indoor flight capabilities, offered at approximately one-third the cost of competing products, increasing affordability and accessibility.
Italy has a large industrial base, supported by oil & gas and petrochemical industries that have developed as an energy hub in the Mediterranean, as well as by the EU’s third-largest chemical industry (Note 1). The country also has a significant testing and NDT market that supports safety and quality management, reaching a scale of around USD 10 billion (Note 2).
Operating within Italy’s dynamic market, S&T is a leading distributor of NDT equipment and quality control instruments and solutions, including commercial drones. Since 2017, the company has established a proven track record in drone distribution, demonstrating extensive experience not only in instrument supply but also in providing comprehensive technical support and consulting services within the NDT sector. Over the years, S&T has successfully provided drone solutions to oil & gas, petrochemical and inspection companies, demonstrating deep industry expertise.
Going forward, Terra Drone and S&T will work together to promote the “Terra Xross 1” and strengthen their presence in Italy. Drone adoption and usage have been limited due to concerns about unstable flight performance and high cost. This collaboration aims to make drone technology more accessible and further accelerate its adoption across the region. Under this agreement, Terra Drone and S&T will provide enhanced and more accessible customer support.
The impact of this project on Terra Drone’s consolidated financial results for the FY2025 is expected to be minimal. Should any matters requiring disclosure arise in the future, an announcement will be made without delay.
